Oh hi

Oh hi, we’re Reformation

Reformation began by selling vintage clothing out of a small Los Angeles storefront in 2009. We quickly expanded into making our own stuff, with a focus on sustainability. Today, we make effortless silhouettes that celebrate the feminine figure and pioneer sustainable practices, focusing on people and progress each step of the way.

Our mission
Reformation’s mission is to bring sustainable fashion to everyone.

Our people
There are people behind the clothes we make, and we put them first. Too often garment workers are subject to terrible conditions. That’s why we built our own factory in Los Angeles, where we work with awesome people from all over the world. It’s our responsibility to create a safe, healthy, and fair working environment for our teams, and for workers throughout our supply chain. We do so through partnerships with industry groups like the Fair Labor Association, conducting on-site social responsibility audits, and a commitment to ensuring workers have a voice in our organization.

Our stuff
While Reformation clothes are more sustainable than most stuff out there, they also happen to be pretty cute, if we may say so ourselves. We make everything from low-impact materials, rescued deadstock fabrics, and repurposed vintage clothing. Ref products are designed, shot, and shipped at our facilities in Los Angeles. We also make some of our stuff in our LA factory, and the rest at sustainable partner factories around the world. We get to know all of our partners, so we can answer “who made our clothes” at every level of the supply chain, and ensure positive environmental and social impacts of our stuff.

Every week, we put out new, limited edition collections. We start with small quantities of each product, and only make more if we know you want it, based on direct data and feedback. This keeps our production less wasteful, and exclusive, so no one at the party will be wearing the same dress as you. We like making you feel special.

Our sustainable practices
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do—from our factory in Los Angeles to our fabrics, packaging, and retail stores. We’re committed to pushing the industry forward and investing in future-focused solutions, which is why we’re a certified Climate Neutral company and will be Climate Positive by 2025.

RefScale
We also track all our clothing’s environmental impact through our internal lifecycle tool, RefScale. You find it on every product page and it tells you how much CO2 and water you save by shopping Ref compared to average clothes in the US.

Our progress
We know that corporations hold the greatest potential for climate action, so we push for progress across the board, and strive to create a workplace where everyone is empowered to do the same. We innovate for circularity and make our progress public, so that consumers and peers alike can learn, share, and grow with us. Being socially conscious isn’t counterculture, it’s cultural currency.
